Aragon may not be the most famous wine region in the world, and Garnacha is not the most famous grape. But who cares?

This province just north of Rioja, Spain, has all the makings for heady, delicious wine: a warm continental climate moderated by the cool cierzo winds, a limestone rich soil with a gentle slope down to the Ebro River, and most importantly of all, old vines – think Cotes du Rhone, with a different name.

Thus, while the Aragon region is little known, its wine offers a sensational value.
Gerberas opens with the fruit-forward knockout combination of ultra-ripe cherry fruit and lush blackberry character. Think Cote du Rhone’s (or frankly, with these bold flavors – Chateauneuf-du-Pape’s) great combination of utterly gulp-able fruit character, but also a core of balance and structure, a freshness that makes the fruit effortlessly fun to drink.

Aragon may not be the most famous wine in the world… yet. But everything delicious about wine is right here in the bottle.

Cheers!
