2017 Marques de Riscal “Arienzo” Rioja

Winery notes:

“The Herederos del Marques de Riscal winery is famous not only for the quality of its wines, but for being a pioneer in the sector. By 1858 it was already the first Riojan winery that produced its wines with Bordeaux methods and, in 1972, it was the first to advocate for the Rueda Designation of Origin, where it produces its famous white wines. Currently, the company’s wines are available in more than 80 countries and boast numerous national and international distinctions.

“From the hand of Herederos del Marques de Riscal we invite you to discover Arienzo de Marquès de Riscal 2015, an excellent red wine with DO Rioja which has been made with a selection of the best Tempranillo, Mazuelo, Graciano and Cariñena grapes harvested in 2015 from the Laguardia and Elciego vineyards. This wine has been aged for eight months in American oak and twelve months in the bottle.

“Its cherry red color with garnet reflections looks tempting in the glass and its fruity aromas with toasted notes beg to be drunk. Let yourself be conquered by the color and bouquet of this Riojan red wine, and enjoy one of the best, with its pleasent entry and its perfect level of acidity.”
