Michel Bouzereau Meursault Les Grand Charrons 2017
Meursault Les Grand Charrons is on the slope just past the Premier Cru of Les Gouttes d’Or which ends the long line of Meursault’s Premier Cru vineyards. Acclaim:
“Outstanding. An overtly floral-suffused nose displays a pretty array of hazelnut, citrus and pear compote that is cut with hints of spiced apple. The delicious and quite supple flavors are not especially dense but I very much like the texture plus the sneaky long finish offers very good depth for a villages level wine. Worth checking out.” – Alan Meadows.
“As with the Bourgogne Blanc, half of this wine is aging in 500-liter barrels): Bright yellow. Classic Meursault nose combines peach, fresh apricot, spices and hazelnut. Yellow fruit flavors are complicated by saline soil tones and nicely framed by ripe acidity.” – Vinous
