“With Résonance Vineyard, we realized Willamette Valley is to the New World what Burgundy is to the Old World. There is a feeling, a spirit, an energy—a ‘somewhereness’ that tells us this place can produce expressive single-vineyard Pinot Noir wines with an identity, a personality.

Pierre-Henry Gagey, President of Maison Louis Jadot, Proprietors of Résonance Vineyard

On June 10, Waterford Wine & Spirits proudly presents a free tasting of the single-vineyard Résonance Pinot Noirs from Willamette Valley. Owned by the legendary Burgundy producer Maison Louis Jadot, Résonance represents the company’s first winery outside of Burgundy. A taste of these extraordinary wines is all you need to discover what finally lured the 160-year-old Burgundy estate to the New World.

Pouring these transformative wines for you will be Guillaume Large, the acclaimed winemaker of Résonance. A native of Burgundy who has tilled the soil of many Jadot vineyards, Guillaume brings the heritage and history of one of Burgundy’s greatest estates to one of the New World’s best appellations for Pinot Noir. “Oregon is the perfect transition from Burgundy,” says Guillaume. “The longitude is exactly the same, and like Burgundy, the Willamette Valley is populated with small towns, has incredible gastronomy, and is full of friendly people.”

As you might expect, the Pinot Noirs of Résonance are a natural expression of Willamette Valley’s ancient marine soils and Maison Louis Jadot’s many generations of Burgundy heritage. Each of these wines is serious, structured and complex. A wonder of nature as well as history. A joy to drink.

So come along, get to know Guillaume, and discover the romance of these extraordinary American Pinot Noirs with a distinctive Burgundy accent.
