Seminar Wine Tasting Thursday, January 13, 6 to 7:30 pm

Location: In stores.

RSVP: Required. Order ONLINE or call your favorite store

We start our seminars cool. That is, with two masterful, world-famous, yet also incredibly finicky grapes that require a cool climate to bring out their maximum expression: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

Now planted and admired worldwide, Pinot Noir’s success is newfound, even if connoisseurs have been chasing this most finicky of grape varieties for centuries. Some say it is the ultimate expressor of terroir, others, the “heartbreak grape” that can’t successfully be grown except for in a few select areas. And then there is Pinot Noir’s genetic descendant – Chardonnay. Almost ubiquitous in every wine region worldwide, Chardonnay can be almost as mass-produced as Pepsi, or as quested after by kings. It can be as dry and mineral as Chablis, or as full and round as a buttered cake.

With this tasting we use Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to explore a couple of simple evaluation tools in wine, answering questions such as how to explore your glass of wine, key elements in wine and how to taste them, and why one wine tastes differently than other even though they are the same grape?” and

Chardonnay and Pinot Noir – two related cool-climate queens of the wine world. So many contradictions, so much history, and so much geography. Let’s get to exploring with some of the best!

This tasting can be enjoyed as a stand-alone session, or you can attend all three sessions (at a discount). Use coupon EASY and buy three tastings for the price of two!
