The Gillmore winery was born in Chile’s Maule valley in 1990. At a time when most viticulture in Chile was for the production of high volumes of commercially viable varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, Francisco Gillmore struck out to produce wines of very high quality in this great terroir.  From the beginning his wines were imbued with the spirit of this unique dry-farmed condition of restriction and resistance, in which their rustic personality was expressed with vibrant acidity and tremendous character.

Now his daughter Daniella and her husband Andres Sanchez are on the forefront of Chile’s quality wine scene.  Championing varieties like Carignan and Cabernet Franc, they are reaching the press and consumers alike.  Join us as we welcome Daniella to Waterford’s Delafield location and explore some of the most fascinating wines being made in Chile!
