Dark-fruited but measured, this opens with black cherry skin, red plum, and dried currant, layered with violet stem, forest floor, and a cool, iron-laced earthiness. The palate is medium-bodied and firmly structured, showing Gevrey’s natural authority through savory fruit, fine, grippy tannins, and a steady, grounding line of acidity. Subtle notes of tea leaf, clove stem, and damp limestone emerge through the mid-palate, carrying into a dry, composed finish. A classically shaped Gevrey that favors structure and soil over overt sweetness or gloss.
