Event Details

Italy and wine are inseparable—woven together across three millennia of cultivation, conquest, craftsmanship, and culture. Today Italy stands not only as one of the world’s largest wine producers, but as its most exuberantly diverse: a peninsula so densely planted that only two nations surpass its total vineyard acreage, and none can rival its kaleidoscope of native grapes and regional styles.

Long before Italy was Italy, Greek explorers named the peninsula Oenotria—the Land of the Vine. The Romans took that legacy and unfurled it across Europe, creating nearly every major wine region known today (save for Bordeaux). And when Pliny the Elder wrote about site selection, pruning, and vineyard character in the first century, he was laying the groundwork for viticultural principles still guiding growers in the 21st.

Modern Italy is a country where ancient habits and contemporary technique walk arm-in-arm. Nearly five billion liters of wine flow from its mountains, coasts, and volcanic plains each year—everything from regal, age-worthy classics to joyful, obscure local treasures that exist nowhere else on Earth.

How do you taste through all of that? With the Italian Wine Festival, of course!

Across this delicious journey we’ll explore the power and perfume of Nebbiolo from Barolo, the deep Tuscan resonance of Brunello, and the sunlit spice of Valpolicella. But we’ll also champion Italy’s unsung heroes: the alpine brightness of Prié Blanc from Valle d’Aosta, the silken charm of Sicilian Frappato, the mountain-born freshness of Teroldego and Nosiola from the Dolomites, and so much more.

So join us for a day of discovery—an odyssey shaped by history, flavor, and the irresistible spirit of a country that has been perfecting the art of wine for over 3,000 years.

Buon viaggio, and salute!
