Bucci’s 2020 Rosso Piceno “Pongelli” opens with the quiet confidence of old vines and patient hands. Montepulciano brings a core of dark cherry, black plum skin, and dried fig, while Sangiovese lifts the frame with sour cherry, crushed strawberry, and a flicker of blood orange. The palate is savory and grounded—leather, bay leaf, fennel seed, and iron-rich earth—carried on fine, chalky tannins and a cool Adriatic freshness.
