More immediately open than many Clos Saint-Denis at this stage, leaning into primary fruit and brightness rather than brooding reserve. The nose is lively and inviting, with ripe raspberry, black cherry, and wild strawberry, lifted by violet, sweet spice, and a flicker of orange zest. On the palate it’s energetic and spiky in the best way, driven by vivid acidity and supple, fine-grained tannins, favoring clarity and momentum over gravitas. There’s less of the dark, architectural seriousness that often defines the site, and it may not be built for the longest haul, but what it offers instead is immediacy, charm, and real Grand Cru pleasure — a wine that’s already hard not to love, and really darn good by any measure.
