More structured and inward, this opens on darker red fruit—black cherry, plum, and dried currant—layered with iron-tinged earth, crushed stone, and a firmer mineral core. The palate shows noticeably more grip, with compact tannins and a deeper, more serious mid-palate, the acidity integrated rather than leading. Savory notes of oolong tea, damp limestone, and subtle spice emerge slowly, finishing long and composed. Less charming than the village wine, but clearly more authoritative and built for patience.
