This seminar unfolds in three acts, and each flight reveals a different light on the same island:

Flight 1: Roots and indigenous identity. The story begins where Sicily found its voice again — in the vineyards of its oldest varieties. Once used for volume, they now speak with clarity and soul.

Flight 2: Elevation brings freshness and finesse. Sicily’s revolution rose with the mountains. The higher the vines climbed, the more the wines began to whisper rather than shout. This flight explores how altitude reshapes a Mediterranean identity — from lava terraces to limestone ridges.

Flight 3: Balance between past and future. The island’s openness has always been its genius. Modern Sicily isn’t about purity — it’s about synthesis. Here, winemakers blend local and global grapes, modern technique and ancestral instinct, creating wines that feel entirely Sicilian yet cosmopolitan.
