Event Details

Founded in 1760, Champagne Lanson is one of the oldest houses in the region, rooted in the historic city of Reims. Lanson is known for its Pinot Noir–driven style (50–60% of blends), which brings structure and richness, balanced by Chardonnay (30–40%) for finesse and elegance, with a touch of Pinot Meunier for fruitiness. Grapes are sourced from premier and grand cru vineyards, and 20–30% reserve wines are used in non-vintage blends for added depth and consistency.

Unlike many Champagne houses, Lanson blocks malolactic fermentation, preserving vibrant acidity and a fresh, energetic style. Low dosage levels further emphasize purity and terroir, while extended lees aging brings complexity and texture.

Join us as Katie Espinosa, Certified Sommelier, walks us through this fantastic house and their beautiful Champagnes.

Wines to be tasted:

Pere et Fils – The flagship non-vintage, vibrant and citrus-driven.
Rosé – Elegant, with delicate red berry aromas and a refreshing finish.
Le Blanc de Blancs – 100% Chardonnay, showcasing finesse and minerality.
Le Green Bio-Organic – Certified biodynamic, fruity and mineral-driven.
Vintage 2012 – Harmonious, with great aromatic intensity.
Le Clos Lanson 2007 – Rare Blanc de Blancs from a single walled vineyard in Reims.
