Mount Langi Ghiran Billi Billi Shiraz

Okay, I know we all stopped drinking Australian wine many years ago. But gosh darn it, the Australians keep right on making it. While it may not be as popular here as it once was, Australia still has an enormous variety of high-quality wines, and I think that this one, Billi Billi Shiraz, just might reignite your interest. High-toned fruit, black pepper spice and a beautifully seamless midpalate might make you think this Shiraz came from the Northern Rhone. Not huge and alcoholic like Aussie Shiraz of yore, this is pretty, flowery and easy-drinking. I think this is a beautiful wine with its lovely, lifted fruit character in the midpalate, and I hope you do too!
