Event Details
Discover Château Musar, Lebanon’s iconic estate since 1930. Founded by Gaston Hochar, Musar has bottled through war and upheaval—skipping only 1976 and 1984. The winery sits in Ghazir above the Mediterranean, while vines grow across the mountains in the high-altitude Bekaa Valley (~1,000m), where cool nights and stony, limestone soils deliver elegance, freshness, and depth.
Musar’s reds marry Cabernet Sauvignon (structure), Carignan (flesh), and Cinsault (silk). Each variety ages on its own for three years in barrel and cask, then the blend rests another four before release—seven patient years that yield haunting complexity. Expect dried cherry, spice, cedar, and savory herb with a supple, long finish; the best bottles sing for 20–30 years. Join us to taste a legend of place, time, and unwavering craft.
“True wines will be different every vintage; they vary just as the weather does and just as our lives do. They are alive and therefore will change and evolve...and sometimes their pathways are just as unpredictable as our own. ” - Marc Hochar
Please join us for this very special tasting as we welcome Marc Hochar, third generation owner and winemaker, to taste his wines, from this legendary wine estate.
