Get to Know This Product

Owen Roe is one of Willamette Valley's "cult" producers.  They don't make much of any of their wines, and what they do make is highly sought after. This pinot gris is probably the most limited of their wines.  We were lucky to snag enough to send an email on it.

David & Angelica O’Reilly founded Owen Roe 25 years ago and immediately started sourcing their grapes from some of the premier vineyard sites in the Willamette Valley.  This wine comes from the esteemed Crawford-Beck vineyard in Eola-Amity Hills.

Along with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris put Oregon on the map of wine hot spots. Owen Roe's Pinot Gris combines the balanced fruit of new world wines with the earthiness and complexity of the old world.

This wine offers ripe peach and Meyer lemon with an inviting salinity and minerality. Mouthwatering full flavors of tart apple follow, which give way to a honeydew melon. This is a perfect wine to enjoy as the seasons change with winter vegetables or leaner cuts of game. We get one shot at this wine a year, so don't miss out.
