Whiskey Finishing Masterclass Featuring Joe Henry Jr. of J. Henry & Sons Bourbon - Madison Only

We are pleased to welcome Joe Henry Jr. to host a first of its kind Masterclass on Whiskey Finishing.  We're featuring some J. Henry classics like the Cognac finished Bellafontaine and Argmanac finished La Flamme, along with some newer releases like their Calvados finishes.  We're also thrilled to announce the debut of our Wisconsin-exclusive Tokaji Finished Bourbon. 

After their initial aging, each of these whiskies was finished in a barrel that previously held another spirit.  We will be tasting each of these whiskies along side an example of the spirit used for their finishing barrels, allowing for a deep dive into the flavor profiles and blending and finishing process. 

J Henry & Sons is based in Dane, WI and has garnered attention for aging their bourbon in an uncontrolled barn environment, they allow the Wisconsin climate to influence the spirit's character, resulting in a distinctive flavor profile. Their commitment to small-batch production and the use of a four-grain recipe, including heirloom grains, further sets them apart.
