Event Details
In this day and age, when learning about wine, a very typical approach is to break down the ocean of modern-day wine regions by country. But there is one place in the world where this approach does not elucidate, and in fact, obscures the vital essence of the wines being produced there - the Wines of the Alpine Arc: Vina Apina.
These are stunning wines of soaring quality, breathtakingly beautiful, with crispiness and refreshment in every sip. Apina Vina spans nine different wine-making regions across five countries, all in high-altitude vineyards at the foothills of the Alps. These regions - while producing extraordinary wines - tend to be less familiar to the American palate and are also home to many indigenous grape varieties that cannot be found elsewhere. It’s like each and every valley holds a unique wine treasure for us to explore!
And explore we shall - while only small quantities are exported and availability is hard to come by, we here at Waterford are not faint of heart. We’ve assembled an outstanding sampling of these diverse, yet amazing, wine regions—perfect for summer refreshment!
