Bordeaux Festival: ALL the Grand Cru Classés matured for a decade - Milwaukee Only

Mark my words - there has never been a tasting like this, anywhere in the entire world. And I am serious, not even in Bordeaux do they put on a tasting like this. This is unique and special, and anyone who has an inkling about wine needs to attend. 

Now that being said, let’s discuss the tasting itself. 

On Saturday, September 21, from 2 - 4 pm, Waterford Wine & Spirits will be putting on a very special Bordeaux tasting - all of the Grand Cru Classés wines, all over a decade old, and all from the same year. It's worth repeating - nowhere in the world has this tasting ever been done before. 

We chose the 2014 vintage because we wanted a chance to show these wines right in the prime of their lives - the very start of middle age, when their fruit expression should be at its height, and the savory notes of age are just starting to emerge. 2014 was a “classic” year in Bordeaux, a relief from the heat and drought of ’09, ’10 and ’11; and without the devastating rains of 2013. It’s a  year where Bordeaux wines taste like Bordeaux, not Napa nor the Tuscan coast. 

All the wines listed will be for sale at the event, and all sales will be ordered directly from the chateaux in Bordeaux. This is set to be a spectacular event - space is limited, so don’t miss it!
