After co-founding Duckhorn Vineyards in 1976, Dan set out with a clear purpose: to craft wines of elegance, balance, and distinction. Over the decades, Duckhorn Vineyards has become synonymous with refined Napa Valley winemaking, particularly for its dedication to Merlot at a time when few others championed the varietal.

This year marks a remarkable milestone—the 50th anniversary of Duckhorn Vineyards. While it is a time of celebration, it is also one of reflection, as we honor the recent passing of Dan Duckhorn, whose vision and passion continue to shape the winery’s enduring legacy.

A highlight of the evening will be a deep dive into the legendary Three Palms Vineyard, home to what is widely considered one of the greatest expressions of Merlot in the world. With its distinctive gravelly soils and warm microclimate, Three Palms consistently produces wines of extraordinary depth, complexity, and character—truly a benchmark for the varietal.

Throughout the seminar, we’ll taste a curated selection of Duckhorn wines while exploring the history, vineyards, and winemaking philosophy that have made this estate so revered.
