Hosted by Ilana Russ – Midwest Regional Manager, Demeine Estates

Founded in 2020, Demeine Estates has quickly assembled one of the most exciting portfolios in fine wine, representing iconic producers from around the world. Today's seminar, however, focuses entirely on its remarkable collection of Napa Valley estates—historic wineries that collectively showcase the incredible diversity of California's most famous wine region. From the cool vineyards of Carneros and Coombsville to the volcanic slopes of Howell Mountain and Spring Mountain, these producers remind us that Napa is defined as much by terroir as it is by Cabernet Sauvignon.

Several of today's wineries are true Napa legends. Heitz Cellar, founded in 1961, helped establish Napa's international reputation through its pioneering single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons and continues to champion elegance and longevity. Stony Hill, one of Napa's oldest Chardonnay specialists, has spent more than seventy years crafting mineral-driven, age-worthy wines that stand apart from the region's richer style. Haynes Vineyard, planted in 1967, has quietly supplied fruit to many of Napa's most celebrated wineries and now bottles one of the valley's most distinctive Chardonnays under its own label.

The newer generation is equally compelling. Ink Grade farms dramatic volcanic vineyards high on Howell Mountain, producing wines of remarkable freshness and structure, while Burgess Cellars has been revitalized into one of Napa's leading mountain Cabernet estates. Brendel, created by the team behind Heitz, demonstrates that authentic, thoughtfully made Napa Valley Cabernet can still offer exceptional value without sacrificing character.

Together, these wineries share a common philosophy: exceptional vineyards, sustainable farming, restrained winemaking, and a belief that balance and site expression ultimately produce Napa Valley's most compelling wines. Today's tasting is an opportunity to experience both the heritage and the future of one of the world's great wine regions.
