Event Details
If you want to taste the past and the future of Scotch in the same glass, there's no better place to look than Glenmorangie. Join Us on December 10th as we explore the full range of Glenmorangie offerings, both traditional and innovative in an in-depth seminar unlike anything else offered in Wisconsin.
Glenmorangie Distillery, located in the Scottish Highlands, has a rich history dating back to 1843. Founded by William Matheson, a farmer who converted his brewery into a distillery, Glenmorangie quickly gained recognition for its unique spirit.
The distillery's distinctive feature is its tall stills, the tallest in Scotland, which contribute to the light and delicate character of Glenmorangie whisky. The distillery's location in the peaceful valley of Morangie, with its pure water source, also plays a significant role in the whisky's flavor profile.
Glenmorangie has a long tradition of innovation, experimenting with different wood finishes and aging techniques to create a diverse range of single malt whiskies. Some of their most popular expressions include The Original, Lasanta, Quinta Ruban, and Nectar d'Or.
Today, with Dr. Bill Lumsden—a PhD in biochemistry who has been with Glenmorangie since 1995—at the helm, Glenmorangie is a pioneer of wood finishing and maturation that has revolutionized the modern scotch scene.
